Ian McEwan Book Jackets

A uni project to design a set of three book covers to be published by Harper and Collins. I worked with the concept of Muybridge's stop motiotn photography, using it to illustrate a few seconds of the book, as I felt McEwan's work is alot to do with time, and the idea that a single moment can shape a lifetime. The faded elements and collaged layers help with this, hopefully giving a worn feel, to re-establish the theme of the passage of time.

Nativity Play Christmas Cards (I know...its November)

Hello, here are some illustrations for some christmas cards I'm making. They will be sold primarily in our old art shop at Cathill Campus, and at the Operation Concrete exhibition at Vibe Bar, East London from the 26th November.

These are some drawings by year one children after reading my book 'The Truth About Grey Rabbit'. They make me smile alot; its so lovely to see their own interpretations of the story.

This was my final project of the second year. I started working under the heading of 'crime' and gradually came to the conclusion of re-illustrating the Cluedo game. There are three large scale paintings of Cluedo 'crime scenes' including the one in the background of these pictures, showing splayed feet, a dropped bottle of milk, a spanner and mustard pot. These were intended to be the board on which the game is played.
The character cards are an extention of the 'identi kit' faces I painted.

Childrens Book

This is a picture book project for the Macmillan Competition. Here's a peak at the dummy book I created and a photo of my bunny posing by 'his' book. Final artwork to be posted soon!

Wanted Poster

Have You Seen This Man?

Development on self initiated project looking at police 'identi kits' used to piece together criminals faces. The results, especially from early kits, are faces that dont quite look human.

A portrait with a real fake moustache. I'm exploring the idea of criminal disguises for a self initiated project.

Funny Faces- flash back

Some more portraits I realised I hadn't posted. These are some of the work I'm most proud of, for me they were a turning point in my developing style. I've done a few self portraits in the past few days, which I'll put up soon.
